My employees are the best, they are carefull, polite, and work theirs tails off. We also go above and beyond with customer requests. We also are trying to make moving affordable for people that can't afford the outrageous prices of the big guys. Same service at a cheaper price. The best thing about moving is the fact that you are actually helping them. Moving can be very stressful and add a disability or old age and it can become near impossible.

We have moved many times and have never been as satisfied as with Southern Cross. They came perfectly on time, completed the packing without delay or problems and delivered our entire household from Cape Coral Florida to Brunswick Georgia without one item broken, damaged, chipped etc. Every employee was pleasant, courteous and a joy to have in our house. Very efficient and very professional. Greg himself assisted with the pack out and it was a joy to how all the men worked together. The crew that delivered was outstanding. Unloaded in record time, place everything exactly as we asked and with an absolutely "can do" demeanor. I am so glad to give this rating because it was the best move we have ever had.... AND THE COST WAS THOUSANDS BELOW THE BIG BOYS THAT CLAMORED FOR THE JOB AND GAVE ESTIMATES THAT THEY OBVIOUSLY INTENDED TO INFLAT UPON DELIVERY. Greg's estimate was exactly as he offered, no hidden fees, and perfectly delivered. We would absolutely use him again if we ever moved. An honest company among thieves. We know from experience. If there was a sixth or seventh star available they would deserve it. What a pleasure to find a terrific mover who delivers exactly as quoted.

To people reading this review I want to emphasize "an honest company among thieves" because that is exactly what we represent as a family owned company. These bigger companies that have owners that are not even involved with the day to day operations. As you see that I even go out and work on some jobs with the guys. I want to provide personal service to my customers that they will never get with the big boys and not have to pay their inflated prices and all their overhead. Greg helped us move a three bedroom house from North Port to Nokomis,FL. The three man crew of Theo, Kyle and Brian arrived on time and immediately went to work. It was obvious that this crew works together often, due to the excellent chemistry among them. They were invariably positive and supportive of each other, helping out when tasks required more than one person and doing so with enthusiasm. They packed up the house in about two hours (we had done some pre-boxing), drove about an hour to our new home, and, after a quick tour to understand the layout of the new home, started unloading. All I had to do was direct traffic on some of the items. They set up the beds, assembled mirrors on dressers, and placed furniture in the appropriate location. They kept asking, "Is there anything else we can do to help" throughout the unloading process, which was completed in two hours. The total start to finish time was five hours, an impressive effort for a move of this size. I chose Southern Cross Moving from a Thumbtack search based mainly on the high quality of the reviews. I now understand how they achieved those reviews. It was a real pleasure to see three young men with such a strong work ethic, working together as a highly motivated team. My experience with Southern Cross Moving was awesome. Greg contacted me right away with a very reasonable estimate. He came to my home to see exactly what I had to move. Everyone was very professional and polite. I had SCM move some of my furniture to my daughter in Gainesville yesterday. Theo and David arrived on time, worked steady loading the truck, and were ready to leave for Gainesville within an hour. What impressed me most was the care they used in loading my furniture. They were very careful when moving it out of my house and then they wrapped each piece and placed it in the truck with care. They were very polite and professional. They arrived at my daughter's apartment in Gainesville right on time. They placed each piece of furniture with the same care exactly where she wanted it. Greg stayed in contact with me by phone during the whole moving process. My daughter and I are both extremely happy with their service. Southern Cross Moving will be moving the rest of my furniture to Homestead next week. Again they gave me a very reasonable estimate. I am looking forward to working with them and will give another review when my final move is completed.

I hired Southern Cross Moving for what seemed like a very daunting move. We had accumulated a lot of stuff over the decade we had spent in our home. Greg contacted me immediately after submitting my request for a moving company who could deal with the "unknown" of having 2 closings on the same day and not knowing when we would have keys for the new home. He put my mind at rest and assured me we could work it out the day of the move. On moving day, Kyle and Theo arrived on time and were two of the friendliest people my husband and I have ever met. They worked feverishly through the day to get us into our new home. They were personable, worked efficiently and didnt bat an eye at the fact that they would have to end up making two trips to get us moved.Our move ended up taking us just over 12 hours and it was an exhausting day, but Kyle and Theo were amazing. Not only did everything arrive in one piece, but they also stayed late to set up all furniture and they even fixed a broken bed!!!! After Kyle and Theo left, we received a follow up call from Greg to confirm that everything went well :-) Hopefully, we will not have to move ever again...but if we need movers for any reason, they will be the first people we call. Thank you for everything - you guys are the BEST!!!!!

In town moves within 50 miles. However we will move anywhere in the us. Thus the name Southern Cross Moving, because we will move you cross town or cross country. Or if you simply need just loading or unloading we can help with that also.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We had a huge move in Fort Myers moving a business (Marine Max) and it took 2-8 hour days with 5 movers.
