So first of all... it takes something of significance to make me write a review (good or bad). I started a search for an a/c company after Hurricane Ian flooded my house out and ruined my old system. My home did not have duct work throughout the house, so I also had a mini split system that was responsible for keeping my living room cooled. There were multiple issues with my previous set-up... I hated having to see the mini split at all, the house would never properly cool and ran continuously trying to keep up with the heat, and multiple rooms barely had any air flow due to restricted duct work . Seeing as my system was damaged and needed replacing, I felt this was the best time to go ahead and make some of the changes we've always wanted to have, like finally getting vents into the garage and living room, getting rid of the mini split altogether, and getting a more efficient unit with current cooling technology ( my old system ran off of an older type of coolant that was becoming increasingly more expensive and harder to find). I used Google, Thumbtack, and Facebook to search for different company's to give me a quote for the work that I needed done, along with word of mouth references. After meeting with numerous people and getting a wide range of quotes and opinions, I decided to go with Yovani from American A/C and Refrigeration. I based my decision on three main reasons, first one obviously being price, as the next closest competitor was literally 50% more expensive then Yovani. Now I'm a firm believer of " you get what you pay for", so to be completely honest, I was a little skeptical at first... but the 2nd reason is because he actually said it was doable ( where 5 out of the 7 guys I had come out, said it couldn't be done, running new ducts, because there wasn't enough room to get in the attic to do it, straight up telling me it was impossible; hence the 7 different quotes). Yovani, having as much experience in the field as he has... could look at my situation and see that yes, iit would be difficult, but it was doable. There were no problems, only opportunities to find solutions. The 3rd reason was a shoe-in because the only other guy that said he could do it, said it would have to be done no earlier than October, due to the heat. Well, I couldn't let my family suffer through the entire summer, waiting on the ac to get fixed. So skeptical or not, I decided to go with Yovani. This was one of those decisions that helps you put good faith in people once again. My install was nothing like we expected it to be, and at times I started to question whether or not it could actually be done. There truly was no room in the attic to install a bulk of the ductwork needed, so we had to end up custom building ducts, and creative ways to hide them. Ultimately my house has a new carrier system, with vents throughout my house, and I've never experienced it being as cool as it is... this, all at a time when we're breaking records for heat this time of the year. So thankful to have come across Yovani from here, and I will definitely be sending any and everyone that is in need of ac work his way. Excellent job, and value.
