How does your service stand out?

I am continually adding to my skill set to be of more service to my clients. My current certifications include life coaching, confidence coaching and health / wellness coaching. As a Life Coach and Confidence Coach, I guide (mainly) women in creating a life filled with passion, happiness and fulfillment. I specialize in times of transition from a path of 'surviving day to day' to an undiscovered path of 'thriving everyday'. I'm not afraid to ask the tough questions that makes one stretch out of their comfort zone and grow into the next amazing chapter in their life. Goals that we work toward may include: life balance, stress management, career, relationships, increasing confidence and transitions through major life events. From a health and wellness perspective: I can relate. I've been there - I understand how difficult it is to make your health and wellness a priority while living a full life. I have personally overcome a myriad of health concerns without dedicating my entire life but through small, easy to incorporate steps. I can assist you in improving your health in the same manner.     I wanted someone to help me make better food decisions and originally had a goal of losing the 10 pounds I gained over the past year. Katy is a great listener and she was very good at coming up with suggestions for food choices. She analyzed my body type and told me the types of food to concentrate on and those to avoid. She also made suggestions about stress reduction which were helpful. I did not lose the weight but I feel better about my food choices. Katy gave me a clear context in which to make decisions and that has been very helpful.

    Hiring Katy was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health.  I wanted a health coach to help me lose weight.  What I found was a health coach that inspired me to make lifelong lifestyle additions to improve not only my health, but also my outlook on life.  I selected the 6 month package and was quite surprised that I achieved my initial goal in only 3 months.  The final 3 months, were spent in understanding why I had gained weight (besides food!), understanding my self-sabotage tendencies and creating healthy changes to let go of the anger and adopt a more optimistic outlook.  I’ve never been happier with my new outlook and new size.  I would highly recommend working with Katy, not only for your health goals, but life goals as well.  I never realized how much the two were tied in to one another.

    Katy has helped me with a variety of health issues. She was very knowledgeable and always kind and caring. She listened to what issues I was having and came up with manageable ways to start to tackle them. I was interested in going gluten free but always felt overwhelmed by it. She helped to break it down for me in baby steps and helped me find lots of easy recipes that my family really enjoys! She also worked with me on figuring out nutrition labels to make sure I know when a food contains gluten. With Katy's help, I finally turned the corner with my health and I am feeling much better and more in control. I would highly recommend working with her!

    I worked with Katy on lowering my blood pressure. I really didn't want to go on medication so I chose an alternative route. Katy not only got me eating the foods that would allow me to lower my blood pressure naturaly, she also helped me with techniques and exercises to keep manage my stress which in turn keeps my blood pressure from rising. I really appreciated the fact that we could meet in person OR have a phone session. It gave me the flexibility I needed in my hectic life. She was very caring and kind. Her compassion is what stands out to me.


What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer different packages to suit different needs. Typical packages for health coaching will be 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Life coaching packages begin with 3 months or 6 months. If the pricing on the quote is not within your budget, please reach out and we can discuss your needs and how we may be able to set up a specific program to best suit your needs and budget. I also am willing to make custom packages for each of my clients depending upon their specific needs. Please let me know what you are looking for and we can see how we can best work together.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer includes gaining information about the client's specific needs and requirement through a quick, online questionnaire. From there, we will meet in person or on a scheduled phone call for a discovery session. During this conversation, I will have the opportunity to further discover more about the client, what motivates them, how I may best serve and if we are a good fit. The client has the opportunity to learn more about my coaching style and if I may be the right motivating factor to coach them to reaching their own personal goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my bachelors from Iowa State University. I am a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Certified Life Coach and Certified Self-Confidence coach.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I choose to go back for my certification to improve my own health and found a passion and innate skill for guiding others on their course to improving health, wellness and a fulfilled life.
