Great service and communication. Very knowledgeable technician and no sales pitch or pressure. Just wonderful experience from beginning to end. Gabriel quickly responded to the service request and Janner the technician was onsite in less than an hour from the time I submitted the request. Janner was very helpful, quickly completed the repair and answered all of my questions as I was weighing repairing vs. replacing the unit since it is very old. Both Gabriel and Janner were professional and pricing was reasonable. I would certainly reach out to them in the future for all HVAC maintenance, service or replacement needs.

I requested this company to do an AC inspection and on completion of the diagnostic I requested the company legal name, address and contractor number on an invoice to make a check for the fees. They give “RBI HVAC” for which I cannot find under Sunbiz, a contractor license not associated to the owner. I got no address for the business. My job was a warranty job and required a licensed professional. Due to the technician inability to submit a warranty claim he wanted me to pay full price for the parts. This guy claimed they are fully licensed.

100% the most trustworthy and honest hvac technicians I've dealt with. I placed a thumbtack request at 10pm when my outdoor unit went out. Leo responded overnight and was at my house the next day. Walked me through everything he was doing and really does a great job at informing his customers. Best part is he gave me a great price up front and got my 15 year old outdoor unit running in less than 30 minutes. Performed check up, added freon and installed a new capacitor for under $150. I guarantee you will not find a more knowledgable, friendly and informative tech who does great work for such a low cost. Cannot say enough great things about Leo and AC Home. I would strongly recommend sticking to the facts you can prove and avoiding statements like "they are scamming" or threatening legal action against Thumbtack. Those statements could undermine your credibility. A stronger review is one that lays out exactly what happened and lets readers draw their own conclusions: I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. This company is a scam. I as them the remove the membership $300 but they want to increasethe parts prices to $1700. How? We contacted this company for an HVAC service call and were charged a total of approximately $818. The technician had my husband sign on a phone during the visit, but we were not provided with an itemized estimate or invoice showing the charges before the signature was obtained. After the service was completed, we discovered that the majority of the charges consisted of a membership and warranty products, including: Membership: $300 Warranty charges: Over $500 combined The actual service call listed on the invoice was only $79. When we questioned these charges and requested cancellation of the membership and warranties, we were told that removing them would result in additional charges because the repairs had allegedly been discounted through the membership program. We do not believe these charges were clearly disclosed and explained before authorization was obtained. We requested documentation only after the transaction was completed. We have since disputed the charges and are pursuing all available remedies. Consumers should carefully review all paperwork, request itemized estimates in writing before signing anything, and make sure they fully understand any memberships, warranties, or additional products being added to their invoice. Based on our experience, I would not use this company again. For Thumbtack specifically, you could separately write: > I am requesting that Thumbtack review this vendor's business practices. Based on my experience, I have concerns regarding how memberships and warranty products are presented and authorized. I believe other consumers should be protected from similar experiences and I ask that Thumbtack investigate this matter because if you dont we will also include you in the suit we intend to file.
