- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always learning - I'd be bored if I didn't continue to grow! I read a lot, spend hours on the computer researching, I also attend classes taught by colleagues and other professionals in my field. Competing also keeps my skills sharp and always gives me new perspective.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out in the Theater as an actress. After a while I just knew I wanted to stay in a creative field but using my hands and love for all things pastry. So I attended pastry school in Manhattan, had the time of my life, and never looked back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
When I worked in hotels I designed and executed desserts for groups in the 1000's as well as casual, and fine dining. Since I started my own company however, mostly I am catering cakes. Wedding cakes are always in demand, but now clients are also looking for show stopping birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, and all around special occasion cakes.
