- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
FEES: I base the pricing on a per-project basis. DISCOUNTS: 10% military discount to active duty, their dependents, and veterans. Thank you for your service. EDITING FEES: Manuscript editing fees are on a per-word basis depending upon the level of editing required and the size of the manuscript. COACHING: All coaching fees are per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. When you contact me via messenger, please detail your project with: a) Book manuscripts: Number of words, genre (fiction/non-fiction, type of editing required, and due date. b) Speeches/podcasts: The number of minutes you have to speak, the topic, and the due date. Recommended: 3 days lead time. Shorter lead times are charged a rush fee of 50%. c) Academic: For capstone projects and dissertations, I need to know the university you are attending, the schedule for all classes, rubric, the university style guide requirements, the professor's style guide requirements, how many supervisors you have on your board, and how much of your paper is complete. If you haven't started yet, I will need to see a paper that you've written (sample). If you've started, share what you have written thus far. d) Coaching: Tell me your goal and how you want to get there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1. Bachelor of Science Applied Psychology (emphasis of study on combat PTSD, trauma, religious studies, and communication). 2. Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Management. 3. My skills are honed from the masters in my field with the traditional and independent world of publishing. 4. I am a book judge for the largest independent book award company in North America. I judge 200+ books in multiple categories each year and determine the winners. 5. Previous engineer (20 years) and military veteran (10 years).
