Pet care is my specialty!
I work in the animal care industry because I have a passion for animals and pet ownership. I have always owned pets and I find satisfaction working as a Dog Trainer and Pet Sitter.
If given an opportunity, I will prove myself as valuable. I have helped birth, raise, and find homes for four puppies. Finding a stray and having the opportunity to save her and her puppies changed my life and career interests. I'm so grateful to have found a profession that I can wake up everyday and look forward to being a part of.
I'm enjoying learning everything I can about professional animal care. Volunteering with the SPCA and working for a daycare and boarding facility has provided hands on training and education for animal care and safety. I worked under a force free dog trainer soaking up everything I could. In 2018 I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a Certified Dog Trainer.

Danielle is great! From the first moments she met Winnie, my dog instantly connected with Danielle.
Winnie loves her training sessions with Danielle and gets sad when they are over. It is amazing to see how far Winnie has come in just her first two lessons with Danielle. Winnie is already much better on the leash and listening to my commands in general.
I can’t recommend Danielle enough. I am so fortunate to have her training both Winnie and myself.

We have had 2 lessons so far with Danielle, her loving approach to training our rescue has been great! You can tell she cares about the dogs emotional state during the lesson and teaches you as a handler to respond appropriately. Looking forward to continue our training and having a well mannered little man!!

I’ve seen an improvement after only one lesson! She’s very patient and explains everything she does. Also very gentle. Very accommodating with her scheduling. She brings her own treats which my dog loves. We’re really amazed and look forward to working with Danielle for several more sessions.

We were concerned when our eight month old puppy was beginning to “guard” objects. Daniele was able to demonstrate some simple exercises we could practice with him to make him happy to “drop it”. She also made us realize how much he was capable of. He now enjoys the drills we do with him and we feel like we have more control. We would highly recommend Slinger for your training needs.

Danielle was SO awesome and made such a difference with our 3 pets! We brought a new puppy home and really needed her to help him get along with our senior dog and cat. Danielle had such a calming demeanor for our high-energy puppy and walked me through exactly how to manage his behavior when around them. He was on his best behavior for the session and now we can comfortably leave him around our other 2 pets without worrying. We will continue to use Danielle for more training sessions and pet sitting! She’s definitely a miracle worker :)

It varies depending on travel time, frequency of service, work load (how many pets) and duration of service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Together the new customer and I will go through the specifics of the job. Clear understanding of what's required ensures customers confidence and satisfaction. Meeting their pet and gathering all details about the pets health and personality are essential. The goal is to provide a safe and fun environment while their pet is in my care.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For two years I worked in kennels and doggie daycare. This gave me hands on experience with all sorts of dog and cat temperaments as well as teaching me the importance of safety. I also worked under a force free trainer for a year which sparked a flame in my heart for training. I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a Certified Dog Trainer in 2017.
