FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, my field is always growing and changing. I am always up on the latest trends, techniques and products. At Sephora we are constantly learning and we're the first to get all the great goodies to play and learn. I also LIVE on youtube and am constantly watching tutorials. I love to learn and try new things. All things are possible. I was sent to San Fransisco to Sephora University for a week of in depth training and assessments and I was certified as an elevated artist.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It's just something I flung great interest in when I was in middle school so I started teaching it to my friends as well as my sisters. I started getting paid for it in high school by classmates and teachers for proms and homecomings. Then I got a job at Sephora where I went through a tremendous amount of training in application techniques as well as product knowledge and brand focus, skincare, haircare, and surprisingly fragrance. My favorite part of working at Sephora was my consultations with my clients and creating these amazing looks that I decided to do it independently and spread the love around south florida =) I am currently the Sephora University Beauty Class Facilitator, fancy name I know, but basically I teach classes for Sephora to clients as well as elevate my cast on teaching, product knowledge, application, technique and everything in between. I have years of experience and I truly have the job of my dreams.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common would have to be weddings and proms, make up lessons and highlighting and contouring which was made famous by Kim Kardashian.
