I have hired Jeff for a number of jobs such as painting, installing doors, installing chair railing in our dining room and kitchen and other miscellaneous jobs. Jeff was always timely and does good work, he's ethical and I would definitely work with him again.

Jeff did a great job installing louvered doors throughout my condo. He advised me, gave a cost estimate, was punctual and the doors not only fit great but look wonderful. He also painted my kitchen in record time. He was meticulous, brought the right amount of paint, and is very curious. It was a pleasure working with a professional with lots of skills. And he is friendly, honest and fair in pricing jobs.

Hired on Thumbtack

I hired Jeff to put together a swing set that I ordered from walmart. He came over with his brother-in-law to install it. Jeff had said he would get there around 12pm and didn't show up till 3pm. Long story short by 545 they only had two pieces put together before I asked them to leave. He stated that he underbid the job and was just complaining. I hired another guy who had to take everything apart and start from scratch because what Jeff put together was incorrect. I messaged Jeff to get the money that I gave him back since it wasn't even assembled correctly but he hasn't returned my text!! I would NOT recommend him for projects!!

Tim hired me to put his swing set together. When we arrived at his home nobody answered the door and we actually waited for him to get there before we began. I don't know how he can say we arrived late. While we were working on putting it together, Tim was acting very nervous and was constantly asking us questions on how the process worked. The swing set had over 200 pieces, so it did take a while just to organize the pieces in the order they'd be used. It was made harder by Tim's constant questions to ensure we were putting it together properly. I've had experience with many similar projects and was fully confident in my ability to put the swing set together. After a few hours, Tim seemed to be irritated that we hadn't finished yet and decided he wanted to finish the job himself on the weekend. Suffice it to say, some people can't be fully pleased. I offered to just walk away from the job without compensation, but he insisted I take something, and he gave me $70. I've been in the business for 5 years now and I have over 25 reviews with excellent ratings that can be viewed from the link above at my profile with HomeAdvisor's website. I am a true professional and it is unfortunate this was my first experience with a Thumbtack customer.

Nothing complicated, I charge a reasonable price for each individual task. If it's multiple tasks then I'll add them up then drop the price a bit, like a "bulk price" if you will.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I hung a flat screen TV on the wall for a customer. He liked me and my work ethic so much he had me fix three tray ceiling in his house and hang new light fixtures in each one. Each of the trays had to be finished, sanded & painted first.
