Using Thumbtack, I found a contractor who gave me a power washing and house painting quote the next day. David Ehrhardt from A Plus Burke Painting in Pinellas Park, Florida came out and after a thorough inspection provided a very reasonable estimate. He was pleasant, and answered all of my numerous questions. Initially I was planning to save money by painting the house myself after a professional power wash, but Dave's reasonable cost, and attention to details won me over. He and his office communicated with me everyday and there were no surprises. I was home and watched the whole process - the crews arrived on time and worked skillfully. The whole job was completed in two days. David stopped by each day and carefully inspected the work in progress. He was always finding small details and instructing the guys to pay special attention. After the second (final) coat of paint was on, he wasn't satisfied and had a third coat applied at no additional cost. I was particularly impressed with the extra time they spent cleaning up, raking, and window cleaning upon completion. You expect painters to be good at painting, but how often do they clean up after themselves? The finished house looks fantastic. David and his team exceeded my expectations at every step of the process. I could not be more pleased with both the reasonable cost and high quality results. I recommend both Thumbtack and A Plus Burke Painting with no reservations.
