Today, I placed an emergency call because I locked my garage door from the inside by pushing in the handles. I touched the remote accidentally and the door handles were jammed and being a senior citizen, I was unable to pull it open. I immediately panicked and called for assistance. I spoke to the answered the phone who said they could assist between 1-3pm. I explained nothing was broken on the door and just needed a man’s strength to release the two latches. About 10 minutes later, I received a call from a gentleman who identified himself from the company. He asked what was the problem and he said maybe it’s something we could do on the phone. I doubted him because I thought how is he going to release the latches on the phone. He asked to send a photo and after I provided it, I was instructed to pull the red cord hanging from the motor which he explained was to manually open the door. I followed his instructions and nearly fainted when the loud release sound was made. He kept asking if I was ok and I assured him after a few minutes, I was fine. The latches moved and I was able to push the door up. He then explained I have to reset it so it could reset and be done by the remote. I told him I don’t know how to do it. Again, he told me what to do and the door opened and closed with the remote. I would like to thank this kind gentleman for his concern, patience and knowledge of his job.
