All Around Builder
About this pro
5 years in business
45 hires on Thumbtack
I have several rental properties in the Pompano Beach area as well as my own home that all needed extensive work at one time or another. I have used other companies in the past with a moderate degree of satisfaction. Some years ago I hired Jordan and Robert with All Around Builder to do some renovation work on one of my townhouses and I couldn't have made a wiser choice. Jordan and Robert are true professional. All of their staff are prompt, courteous, and are excellent craftsmen. The prices they charge for their services are very reasonable and comparable to other bids. I feel blessed to have found such a reliable and top shelf construction company and will continue to use them for all of my remodeling/construction needsApr 28, 2018Verified
Our kitchen turned out exactly how I had imagined at a very competitive price. Anytime we had an issue, All Around Builder was willing to help us so that we were completely satisfied. The quality of our cabinets and countertops are top notch. Very happy with our kitchen!Jan 20, 2017Verified
If I could not give any stars I will. Was speaking with Jordan and we confirmed on a time for Monday. Called at 1045am that he was on his way and would be 30 minutes late. 1130am came and went and no call. If that was an indication of how he treats potential clients I would stay very clear of this company. Wasted my whole morning waiting for this so called professional.Apr 17, 2018VerifiedJordan K.'s reply
Angie, Good morning. I am sorry to hear about your experience. We do apologies. We but to your husband and told confirmed with him a later time due to I-95 being solid red in both directions. We drove from Deerfield Beach to your home and nobody was there when we arrived. Called and went straight to VM. We are very respectful of our customer's time; and we value the opportunity to meet to discuss potential projects. Hope you are available to reconnect. Respectfully.
They were very professional, punctual, neat and a pleasure to work with on my mom's Bathroom Remodel. The tiler, Edwin, was great at his job and Jordan one of the partners did everything to please us and he did. We definitely will be hiring them for more projects we want to have done. Thanks All Around Builder!May 12, 2017Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Continuing Education is a vital part of my industry. Every two years, I'm required to take 14 hours of education for my construction industry licenses (general, roofing & plumbing). On top of that, I have to take additional hours of classes for my Mold-related licenses (assessor & remediator). Furthermore, I have to take separate classes for my Inspector license. Most contractor find these classes to be a waste of time, or even a money-grab. I'm a little less cynical. License-holders become licensed at different times in history. Some as far back as the 1970's. As you can imagine, the building technologies, laws, codes and other aspects of our industry have changed and improved. The continuing education requirements play an important role in making sure every license holder is aware of these updates and changes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I used to be in the IT industry. I'm CompTIA A+ and Microsoft MCP, MCSA & MCSE certified. In the late 90's, when the dot.com bubble burst, I began doing website development for a few companies. One of those companies was a General Contracting firm. I found construction management to be very interesting and rewarding. So, I started working there on the ground level; doing demolition. From there, I found more trade-work that I wanted to learn about; plumbing, A/C, electrical, roofing. I wanted to know it all. I've gathered work experience working for pretty much every trade. With that experience, I pursued getting licensed in the various construction fields. As of today, I personally hold a General Contracting, Roofing, Plumbing, Home Inspector, Mold Assessor & Mold Remediator licenses. In August, I passed the Class "A" Air Conditioning license, and am currently pursuing a Real Estate Sales Associate license.
- What types of customers have you worked with? Most of the work we perform are Kitchen Remodeling, Bathroom Remodeling and general Home Improvement. From upgrading electrical panels, replacing your roof, repairing your plumbing, replacing your A/C... Pretty much anything you need repaired, remodeled, added or improved with your home, we can do.
