Guitar Lessons

  • Serves Saint Cloud, FL
Check me out on Spotify, YouTube and in other streaming services. First lesson is a free 30 minute trial! Hello all!  I love music, and I love playing the guitar.  I got my first guitar when I was a  teenager, and I often play these days.  The music I write contains a lot of guitar.  Sometimes a song I write is driven by melodies written on a guitar, sometimes I write with computer based instruments and then fill in with guitar.  Either way, guitar plays a big role.  Sometimes, not necessarily writing music but just sitting down and playing guitar is enjoyable.  I have a desire to teach guitar and engage with people and help people grow in their own passion for guitar and music.  I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and have experience in therapy with adults and kids, I relate well with people well and am good with kids. I seek to be a positive presence for kids and everyone and try my best to make lessons fun. Different people might have different reasons or ideas for playing guitar.  Maybe someone wants to learn some of their favorite bands songs.  Maybe someone wants to sit at a campfire and play some chords so people can sing together.  Maybe someone wants to be able to help with their churches music.  Maybe someone wants to learn to write songs, continually grow in their skill and ability and possibly do some recording.  Whatever might be your reason for being interested in playing guitar, I want to come alongside of you and assist in your goals.  We can work on chords so you can learn to play songs, bar chords so you can play up and down the fretboard, work on how to play in a certain key so you can write songs and have all the chords sound good and fit together, work on how to layer different guitar parts or play with others, work on finger picking if that's your style, learn some theory, or any and all of these things.  I want to meet you where you are at and help you progress in a way that feels good to you.    After the first trial lesson, I teach 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions, and the cost is 20 dollars for a 30 minute session, 25 for a 45 minute session and 30 for a 60 minute session.  I teach via Zoom over the internet. My teaching hours are Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and evenings 1pm to 7pm.  Let me know if you are interested and we can get started!See more

How much are singing lessons?

Singing lessons cost $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rates can range anywhere from $40-$80. However, some vocal instructors may charge flat rates or offer packages. They may also offer 30-minute lessons for a lower price. Or, they might require monthly tuition for ongoing classes. It depends on the voice coach.

Contact vocal instructors near you to get a sense of how much singing lessons cost in your area.

What are singing lessons like?

Every voice coach may have a different style of teaching, but here are a few things you'll likely experience during a singing lesson:

  • Going through a few breathing and riff exercises.
  • Receiving constructive feedback and criticism from the instructor.

Before your first voice lesson, you can ask your instructor what you should expect and how to prepare.

What is a good age to start vocal lessons?
