- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Roof inspections are free. After the inspection you get a written, itemized proposal, so you can see exactly what you're paying for. We collect 50% when you sign and the remaining 50% at the final walkthrough, after you've seen the finished roof. Payments by check or bank transfer have no added fees; card payments carry a 3% processing fee. Financing is available, and you can check your options online without affecting your credit score.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a call or message so I understand what's going on with your roof. Then I schedule a free inspection, go on the roof, and take photos of everything I find. I walk you through those photos in plain language and send a written proposal with your options, whether that's a repair or a replacement. Once you approve, we handle permits, order materials, and schedule the work. After the job, we do a final walkthrough together before the final payment is due.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor. I passed both the state Business and Finance exam and the Roofing Contractor trade exam. Before starting Vet Shield, I spent about two years as a roofing crew foreman. I also hold an MBA in Finance, which helps me give customers clear, accurate pricing. And four years in the U.S. Navy taught me attention to detail and doing the job right the first time.
