Introduction: We operate the regional honey bee rescue and relocation service for the Tampa Bay area. We are a no kill rescue registered with the state of Florida DOA. We are fifth generation beekeepers. I learned bee keeping form my father and grandfather. I personally have had bees for honey production for most of my life and was helping my dad before I had my own hives. I have over forty years experience in all natural bee keeping methods and honey production. We keep all the necessary certification, registration, and insurance required by the State of Florida. I am inspected and registered by the FL Department of Agriculture. We carry full and comprehensive insurance on myself and my company at all times and will gladly provide copies of any documentation upon request. We are registered and preform bee colony removals and relocations for the City of St Petersburg and Pinellas County as well as other area municipalities. Because we do very well with saving the bees, all of our work is guaranteed from the day of removal for sixty days. If the bees come back, Jeffrey The Bee Guy and staff comes back again as well.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We are a full service, no kill, honey bee rescue and colony relocation provider. As a rescue we disclose all prices in estimates prior to any work being performed. We also supply bee hives, Queens and many product related to bee keeping and service “back yard” bee colonies for our clients. Rescued bees are often adopted by people who purchase our hives. We install and maintain them or teach the skills required to the clients and get them state approved to keep their own hives.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After a client contacts us, text is best were often in the bees, we request name address and a photo of the bee colony if possible. We will send an estimate. Once the estimate is approved we add the removal to our job list. Because we’re far less expensive than the commercial guys, we often have a wait list for removing the bees. However, we get to your request in the order it was received and as quickly as weather permits.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?BS Biology MS Biochemistry
