Introduction: I allow the student to learn what they want to. Often times students are given assignments that can be tedious and exhausting (although important), and lose their drive to keep playing. The way I provide lessons offers what each individual wants to learn while simultaneously developing the technical skills to do more than what they are aiming for. This creates a relaxed, tension-less environment and mood to keep that drive in motion.
I love being able to share all that I have learned and to see the face of a student who finally gets that one riff down they've been trying for, or song, or whatever it is they aim for. Being able to help someone express what they want to on their instrument makes it all worth while.
