Oh where to begin. We installed engineered hardwood floors 5 years ago when we bought our 31 year old home. Over the years it became very apparent our home was holding humidity, even after we purchased a new air conditioner and had all the duct work replaced. Then it happened, last Fall we started to notice our floor was buckling. We had all the floors tore up and we sealed our foundation, before putting new floors down. While the installation was going on it became more profound we had a bigger issue going on and thats when I started doing a little research. Foundation Waterproofing 101 was the first company I contacted. Jeff Earl came out to the house and just listened as I explained our dilemma. Then he began to explain what was going on. To think when our home was built in the early 1980s there were NO elevation codes in Florida was astounding. I was so impressed with Jeff and his knowledge of the real issue I did not call another company for an estimate. My husband and I are firm believers of going with our gut and my gut told me Foundation Waterproofing 101 was the company that could fix our problem. Jeffs crew was incredible! We had SO much rain when they began our project that it made it difficult to finish the job within the estimated time frame (which was no fault of theirs) however, when they were able to be here they got work done! Quickly and efficient. We have been enjoying a very dry home for the last 3+ Months and what a difference its been! We could never have our air conditioning set above 72 degrees ever in the last 5 years! Im pleased to say we keep our air on 75 most of the time, so you can imagine the reduction on our electric bill! Our only regret was we didnt call Foundation Waterproofing 101 sooner. I would like to share my recent experience with Foundation Waterproofing 101. A little over a year ago my wife & I purchased a home that was about fifteen years old. We decided to replace the old hardwood flooring with tile flooring that looks like hardwood. Very trendy these days but more than that, very durable. To our dismay, we started noticing a white deposit & even some water coming up through the grout in our dining room near the front of our house. We called a leak detection company to help locate the issue. None of our pipes were leaking & we were told that the issue was coming from outside our home. So then we had a landscaping company come out and were told that the solution was a french drainage system that was fairly simple & inexpensive to instal. My wife & I decided to go with their suggestion of installing the french drain. Fast forward to current day. We began to see the same issues that we saw a year ago. Water and what we now know as calcium deposits were once again coming up through our grout lines. Needless to say we were extremely upset. We called the landscaping company to come back out to fix the issue, but could not get them to come back out and help us. So we called Foundation Waterproofing 101. Jeff, the Owner showed up and immediately assessed the situation. He explained to us that the water table in Florida is very high and that our foundation was sitting 'below finished grade'. Therefore water was resting against our foundation near the front & side of our house. He further explained that the french drain (that we had installed a year ago) wouldn't work because it is designed to move surface water from rain events & that it is rendered useless when it comes to controlling the water table. The correct solution was to waterproof the foundation, install the proper drainage system below the foundation to control the water table and pump the water out to the street. It seems like a simple solution now that we understand it. But it doesn't seem like anyone in this area knows how to properly solve these types of issues. Very glad that we came across Foundation Waterproofing 101. Jeff took the time to explain exactly what we needed to do to fix the problem. He was extremely knowledgable and professional. Our only regrets are that we wish we had the money back from installing the french drain and that we would have found Foundation Waterproofing 101 a year ago.

We are extremely happy to have found Foundation Masters following flooding of our home after Hurricane Irma. After weeks of searching for the cause and remedy of the flooding through multiple service providers, Jeff at Foundation Masters provided a comprehensive explanation of the water problem.
