Introduction: Hello love! I'm Petra Pennington, and I'm a makeup artist based out of SRQ who also has a love of hair, skin and all things beauty. My makeup romance began when I was a Ballroom Dancer performing on stage; I would not only do my own makeup, but started doing other dancers backstage and through that, learned the importance of applying makeup for different lighting while adjusting techniques to produce the best results on various skin tones/ textures and eye/face shapes, to best complement the unique assets that every woman possesses.
My appreciation of the arts and the makeup behind it, blossomed into a long career for me as a makeup artist (over 10 years now!) where I’ve had the privilege to not only do Theatrical styles, but to also try my hand in creating looks for T.V. / Film , High Fashion, Bridal, Special Events and amvariety of Photoshoots. I launched my makeup artistry business with a natural flair for creating stand out, stunning looks, that accentuate and enhance a woman’s natural beauty.
I honestly believe (I know it’s cliché but it’s true!) that every woman is beautiful!!! My approach to makeup is to never be too “heavy handed.” I’m focused on accentuating and enhancing your best features and creating breathtaking results; your makeup will look flawless throughout the whole day, whether you’re crying your eyes out at the wedding or dancing your heart out all night, but you will also, still look like you. Just the best, most glowy version of yourself possible.
My, seriously, it’s an OBSESSION with beauty, means I am constantly pursuing additional education and staying up to date on the latest trends and techniques. I’m currently enrolled to gain both my Nails and Facials Specialty Licenses in addition to Eyelash Extension certification and have already been certified in the makeup techniques of: Flawless Airbrush, Bridal Airbrush, Color Theory, Bridal Makeup (Natural, Traditional, Beach and Bold/HD), Hollywood Glam Makeup, Smokey Eyes and Mature Skin Makeup.
I use nothing but the highest quality products on all of my clients throughout the whole process, starting with skin prep (soooo important!) and all of my looks include false eyelashes.
