My service stands out because I stay up to date in the use of transcribing machines with headset and foot pedal. I carefully listen to recordings by physicians and other healthcare professionals dictating a variety of medical reports, such as emergency room visits, diagnostic imaging studies, operations, chart reviews, and final summaries. Transcribe dictated reports and translate medical terminology and abbreviations into their expanded forms. Edit as necessary and return reports in either printed or electronic form to the dictator for review and signature, or correction. I enjoy medical transcription mainly because of my love of medical terminology and helping people to meet their deadlines. I'm task oriented and self-motivated too. I like to have a lot of work to do and get it done in a timely manner. (I'm also ex-military and that background allows me to steer my goals, so to speak). I like working alone, it's like I'm in competition with myself, and I feel a huge sense of satisfaction when I see things thru to completion. I love typing and language. I like bringing a sense of perfection to the job, as well as the flexibility it gives me. It's also a job where I can keep growing and learning.
