FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We typically have two types of clients. The first is proactive and has either just adopted a new dog or has just gotten a puppy and they want to make sure they get off to a good start. The other type of client is dealing with some behavioral issues that they don't know how to solve. It might be that the dog is jumping on everyone or is pulling them down the street instead of walking with them or they might even be dealing with more serious issues such as aggression either to dogs or people or separation anxiety. No matter what behaviors you are facing, we can help. Most of our clients start seeing positive changes in their dog's behavior during our first session with them.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You typically have two choices when looking at dog training methods. You have those who are "positive" only which typically entails using lots of treats but never letting dogs know they are making mistakes (ignore the bad behavior and reward the good). On the other end of the spectrum are the "tougher" trainers who tell you to teach your dog who's the boss. They might use less than dog friendly equipment such as prong, shock collars or choke chains. We are unlike either as we focus on helping our clients establish great relationships with their dogs based on mutual love, respect, trust and understanding. You can let your dog know it's making a mistake without being physical or mean. We can teach you how, usually very quickly and easily.
