Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Like most great inventions, The Comfort Authority came about through necessity. In our years so far, we've gained the wisdom there are many companies that can fix, sell and replace air conditioners, but very few know home comfort. We have seen and continue to witness work performed that does not fit any part of the true definition of air conditioning. This doesn't make sense to us. We've realized that in order to provide home comfort, you must focus on every individual client's wants, needs and desires. This allows us to understand your ideal outcome and provide practical solutions catered specifically to you, your family and your lifestyle. Home comfort isn't another term for air conditioning: it's a feeling of peace and security. Are you comfortable on the phone with us? Are you comfortable with our recommendations? Are you comfortable with our pricing? Are you comfortable with us working unsupervised in your home? The answers to questions like these are the reason we started The Comfort Authority.

They offered a free inspection of my system shortly after I'd moved into my current residence, and found that there was a small leak in the unit in the attic. They gave me an estimate to replace the leaking part and a couple of others to replace the whole system. I checked the prices for the equipment online and compared it to their estimates. In my opinion, their prices for what they were offering were absurd. I got a second opinion from another company before doing anything else. The next technician found no leak whatsoever, even after I pointed out where the Comfort Authority guys had said the leak was. However, he pointed out that the huge "1 year filter" in the attic unit needed to be replaced (for $26), which the CA guys never mentioned. I'd never seen a secondary filter like it, but he pulled it out and showed me where it fit into the unit. I bought one online and replaced the old one myself. 12 months later, I've just replaced the filter again, and the unit has worked perfectly the whole time. Always get a second opinion folks, no matter how nice someone may seem...

Our outside a/c unit was not turning on. We went through our Warranty company and 3 other vendors without any luck. We were without air-conditioning for 2 weeks.Comfort Authority was our 4th try at this and they were able to finally resolve this. It turned out to be a short-circuit in one of the low voltage wires that goes from the coil to the outside unit. I was previously told that I had to change my outside unit, change my coil and was given an estimate for thousands of dollars. The first thing they did was to go to the attic to look at the wiring and understand the issue. Within 30 minutes, they provided me with 2 options and lo and behold, one of the options resolved our situation. They get a 10 on 10 for excellent "text-book" customer service (the stuff that I myself teach my staff as a Hospital Executive). Extremely professional, appropriately attired, were considerate enough to wear shoe covers. Despite having warranty, despite having a one year contract with another contractor, I signed up for their yearly service plan. I would highly recommend them to anyone without reservation. Do yourself a favor : try them first before shopping around.

I contacted the Comfort Authority with concerns about AC and duct work. I am an allergy sufferer so my primary concern was the health of my duct work. Secondarily I am concerned about my energy bill like everyone else. I was very impressed with the Comfort Authority, and I had high expectations since both workers are engineers. Their evaluation of my situation was very through. They opened my air handler, crawled around my attic with a thermal imagery device, and took pictures of all their findings (thermal and true color pictures). I am awaiting their three scenario proposal as I asked for three outcomes - clean the duct work, replace duct work, replace AC and duct work. Both young men who came for the evaluation of my AC were very knowledgeable. They took time to explain all of their concerns as they showed me the results of the thermal scans in real time on an IPad. I could see temperature differences where there were leaks in my duct work, air handler, vents, and even recessed lighting. I have to say this was much better than someone just poking their heads up into the attic to see the air handler condition and manufacture date. I mentioned that they crawled through every inch of my attic with a thermal imager. They also measured every room and made a sketch of my home layout in order to calculate the size and placement of where each vent should be. A far cry above a one size fits all tube to every room. I have not received the quotes, and therefore have not decided which AC Company to use, but so far I have been most impressed with the Comfort Authority.
