Hi! My name is Dasonj Smith, and I’m Freelance Fashion Designer and Professional Stylist. I have a bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design and currently the Store Manager of Valhalla Resale, a sustainable clothing rental membership based company in Tampa Bay, where I style over 150 members daily between our Tampa and St. Pete location. On my own time, I create garments for clients for any occasion — photoshoots, birthdays, wedding attire, and staple pieces to wear when they travel. I design and construct anything from swimwear, loungewear, sportswear, and evening-wear. I also offer Styling, Tailoring, Closet Clean-out, general organizing services, and admin support! My focus is quality over quantity. With over 10 years’ experience in the Client Service/Retail industry, I’m highly passionate about utilizing time-management, communication, and attention to detail, to meet and exceed your standards. My expertise is in Client Service, Sales, Design, Visual Merchandising, Styling, Trend Forecasting, Photography, Content Creation, and Social Media Marketing. My company, Alex and Dáj was founded March 1st, 2017, with a mission to empower those who are willing to make a change for the greater good. Built on love, and unity, Alex and Dáj vows to give a voice to the voiceless, a platform for all creatives, and a community that promotes overall wellness.
