The tech was extremely polite. However, the company charged me $150.00 to do an evaluation of the problem with the elliptical. Send me an estimate for $629.00. Seems quite outrageous. The repairs will end up costing almost as much as what I paid for the elliptical brand new.

The evaluation fee covers the time and expertise needed to accurately diagnose the issue and prepare a detailed repair estimate so you can make the best decision about your equipment. Unfortunately, sometimes the repair costs approach the price of a new unit, especially as equipment ages and limited parts are available.
