Sprinkler system stopped working. Bruce responded to my project post in less than an hour. We agreed on a date and a time. He called the morning of the appointment to ask if he should come because of the weather conditions and was told to come. He called again to say that he would be about 10 minutes late. He quickly determined that the pressure switch had failed and that the rain delay sensor needed to be replaced. He left to get the parts and returned to complete the repairs. He inspected the entire system and found that the electrical wires to the valve heads were not installed properly which he fixed. Two sprinkler heads were replaced. The system was tested and adjusted. Bruce is competent, honest, efficient, and the price for his work is fair. The only issue is that he does not currently accept credit cards or PayPal for payment. I gave him 5 stars.
This was the best electrical servicing we ever had! Jack Harris, the owner, installed a bunch of light fixtures, ceiling fans, and smoke alarms at one of our properties. I appreciate how he included me in the decision-making of the all the 'options'. By that, I mean the exact placement of the fans and fixtures, the height at which the fans should hang, and which color fan blades I wanted facing downward. I've hired other electricians who don't include me in things, only to find out later it wasn't exactly how I wanted. Jack also took the time to explain important things like certain fixtures that were wired in such a way that they work differently. All of Jack's attention to detail exudes excellent customer service as well as personal accountability for his work! And let's face it...it's hard to find good, honest work these days!! Jack has been in business a long time and he is absolutely an expert in his craft! As an investor, I have dealt with many different electrical contractors in the area, and they mostly are big outfits that send out technician ABC123 who sticks to a little book of set prices. But we got much better, more personalized service, than that with Jack Harris. From now on, he will be our go-to electrician!
We had an outlet that was sparking in our master bedroom. I placed a posting after midnight on Friday, hoping To find someone to assist over the weekend. Farit responded that evening and came out the next morning. It was a quick fix, but he easily deciphered the cause of the problem and repaired in about 30 min. We will most likely be calling him to assist with electrical work in future. Would highly recommend to others as well.
Al is extremely knowledgeable. He was able to connect and work on a complex electrical issue and he did a great job.
Needed a new timer installed and wired for my pool pump. Sean was courteous, honest, and knowledgable and got the job done quickly. Fair rate for electrical work. Will use again. Thanks Ryan and Sean!
Brian was timely and took care of the requests efficiently. We will definitely have him back for electrical projects in the future.
Mike with MJS Services responded to my Thumbtack inquiry quickly. He gave me an affordable estimate for the work based on the description of my issue, a flickering light in my kitchen. Mike was able to identify the cause of the issue immediately. He told me he could replace only the light socket, which had a short, but he also pointed out some heat damage to the entire fixture. Mike said the existing fixture was a fire hazard and recommended replacing the entire unit. He was able to acquire a replacement LED light fixture quickly. Not only did it match the decor of my kitchen, but it was also inexpensive and more energy efficient. Mike had it installed in no time at all. I would recommend MJS Services for electrical work due to Mike's attention to detail and his affordable, flat fee estimates. Thank you, Mike! Great job!
Carlos Diaz of CDHR is truly professional - we had him at our house to do various "handyman" tasks (from fixing shelving, various electrical issues, caulking & painting, sink replacement, etc.). Total time took 2-1/2 days & Carlos was always directly in touch re: date/time of arrival to get these tasks done. His manner is extremely courteous and he has an extraordinary proficient manner of optimizing his tasks. I would highly recommend him (& will use him again) for any/all similar 'handyman' tasks!
Nick was right on time and did an excellent job of repairing our dishwasher for a great price! He was well organized and cleaned up completely after his work. He even took care of an extra electrical job for us. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Nick again for any job.
Scott was fantastic. He worked with us to find a convenient time (which was probably not so convenient for him). He and his team worked hard and completed all of the work quickly. They are licensed electricians with over 30 years of experience, and it shows. I would never go anywhere else for electrical work in our new home. Scott was on time, professional, and reasonably priced.
The contractor was Professional, punctual and responsive and provided good value for the work performed.
I had a clogged kitchen sink. I have had this issue, ongoing for several years. One person guaranteed that it was going to be fixed. He was one before Paul. Needless to say, they did not. Before that three others. One said it was because my septic tank needed to be cleaned. Did that. Then they said $350 to "blow" out my pipes. $350 an hour! NO!!!! Called in another plumber. He snaked it . 10 minutes later, he says he can't do it and to call someone with electric tools. SMH So in desperation, I finally after days of trying to baby it, and nothing working, I finally decided to try yet again to find, hopefully, what in my mind was a fair, reasonable and honest plumber, I happened onto Thumbtack. Thank you. I filled out the request, and not really expecting much to be honest. Within an hour I received a bid. A very very reasonable price from only one and it was Paul. He offered to come the next morning, which happened to be Labor Day. I did not answer for two days, and after receiving a reminder, I finally agreed, I am so happy that I did. Paul is exactly whaI had a clogged kitchen sink. I have had this issue, ongoing for several years. One person guaranteed that it was going to be fixed. He was one before Paul. Paul is exactly who I had hoped for...pleasant, professional, fair, reasonable and honest. He came in and started right away with the electric snake. He said he could feel it. He worked with it a while. Then he used the industrial water ram (I had to look it up...lol). All this time he is visually monitoring the flow of water. Waiting for it to whirlpool down the drain. Then, finally, he brought out the handy dandy old-fashioned plumbers' tool...yep, a plunger. He then worked with his body weight to plunge through the rest of the clog he'd broken with his other tools. Finally, THE WHIRLPOOL!! He ran the water several minutes. It has been great to wash dishes all at once. Not having to wash in intervals, waiting for the water to drain. If that wasn't enough, he offered to clean up the mess AND TO put everything back under the sink. I appreciated the offer, but told him that I would do it...happily. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends. I RECOMMEND HIM TO ANY AND ALL THAT READ THIS REVIEW. THANK YOU PAUL!! THANK YOU THUMBTACK!
I cannot say enough about the service provided by Victor from Lu Electric. I had gotten myself into a bad electrical contractor situation during a renovation, and Victor came in and resolved all of my issues. His price, was more than fair, and he was dedicated to ensuring I was satisfied with the job before he was paid. I will use him again, and I would recommend Victor and Lu Electric to anyone.
Price was the best I had seen. He came out and gave me a good quote then showed up on-time the following day. He worked hard all day and got my house clean after a full remodel/renovation. The windows are so clean they almost look like mirrors! The downside were my floors: My main concern or item of greatest importance -- which was explicitly stated beforehand -- were my floors. I had a large amount of drywall dust in the new grout and he was unable to get it out. I ended up having to scrub the grout for 8-10 hours with industrial vinegar to get the grout clean again. That said, I would definitely use his services again. He worked hard from 9am to 7pm and my house looks great. If you want a detailed and clean then yes -- if you have stubborn construction dust... good luck
Mike did an amazing job with all of our lighting and electrical needs. He was very knowledgeable and available right when we needed. He even went to Home Depot with us to make sure we got all the right fixtures and materials. (over 20 lights in all) It was a very large project, but he got it done in a timely manner and did a great job doing it. We are very lucky to have found Mike on Thumbtack!
I chose Kevin Johnson out of a lineup of electricians because of his straightforward per hour rates. My problem was a GFI outlet in my bathroom that didnt work and I thought needed to be replaced. When Kevin arrived, the same day and promptly at the time we agreed upon, he tested the outlet and found that it was still working fine, I just didnt know how to reset it properly. Even though he took the time to explain how a GFI outlet works and show me exactly how to reset it, he would not charge a service call, all he would accept was a meager tip. Kevin also works on electronics: computers, printers, networking, etc. and when I told him I would be buying a combo printer/scanner/copier in the near future, he took the time to give me some good pointers on what to look for when I am ready to buy. Kevin will definitely be the one I will call for electrical and electronic problems in the future. He is more interested in building his clientele and servicing his customers by honesty and fairness than he is in charging exorbitant fees. Lynda R, St Pete Beach, FL
Jeff and Karen remodeled my guest bathroom off of some plans I had an architect draw up a while back. The quality of work is impeccable and JAE went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. At one point during the demo Jeff found some old termite damage, so the whole room had to be reframed, which he happily did the next day. I highly recommend JAE General Contractors for any project you might have, small or large; I know I will when I tackle my master bathroom in the coming months.
I would highly recommend Phoenix Electrical & Mechanical Contractors! They installed a whole house generator for my dad. When the gas company flaked, Phoenix Electrical stepped in when they didn’t have to and solved the problem. They are professional, honest, they clean up after themselves, and the quality of work they provide is superior to anything I have seen lately.
