- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Price starts out with the size, then gender, then age. Price is for a 24 hour period. For example, from 12 noon to the next day at 12 noon is one day, not two. Added hours are pro-rated up to 10 hours. Base price is from $ 32 for small adult female, to as much as $ 40 for extra large adult female. Slight increases for males [tend to mark unless we find otherwise] or puppies, for holidays and summer time. Discounts for more than 1 dog or extended stays of a week or longer. Free days for referrals which is frequent. Compared to the traditional set ups, you can not beat our rates!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial phone call to learn more about your dog[s] and understand customer's concerns and answer questions. If we agree, we then set up a visit for them to meet us and for us to meet them and dog[s]. First they all enter our yard, go off leash and then we let out our dog to greet them. If we have any other guests we slowly let them out too. Tends to look like a dog park at times. Then when they've all gotten acquainted we come into the house and continue the tour in our home and we assure all are very comfortable. The dog customer will return for their stay having already been familiarized with our home. Any time a customer returns for their stay we always introduce slowly in the yard to make the process stress free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have completed pet obedience training and leash training with our doggies. Over the 20 years plus that we have provided this service has given us extensive understanding about a wide variety of breeds. We are understandably selective in who we accept. We have researched on related subjects, subscribe to relevant publications, and come from a counseling background so also understand our customer's owners concerns.
