FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am new to thumbtack and am here to build a foundation of solid reviews. I’ve used thumbtack myself for jobs around my home for 2 years, and I know my process when hiring a pro. I provide a world-class experience for my people, but until I have the reviews needed to make the proper first impression of what exactly I bring to the table, my pricing will reflect my desire to earn a 5 star review more than a large profit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through Toastmasters.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Interview and resume prep started with just helping close friends. Then I was promoted into leadership myself, and folks began seeking me out more and more frequently. Public speaking was thrust upon me during my time in the US Coast Guard, where I’d given over a hundred flight briefs and situation reports to my command. As I transitioned in to corporate America, I took full advantage of Toastmasters and grabbed every speaking engagement I could, as well as learn from some of the greats (Les Brown is my favorite), and now I would count myself amongst them.
