I teach tennis on public courts for a fair price. I played at a very high level in my tenure and still look to pursue that. Meanwhile, I was fortunate and blessed to be taught by great coaches, so the info that I have is well worth it. My results weren't always the best, but my high-level IQ of the game makes it simple for people who come to me. I love to coach tennis. I love to help young people pursue their dreams and accomplish their goals along the way. I also love to give lessons to people who play tennis for fun! I have fun coaching, and it's my job to make sure you have fun playing!(show more)
What do you love about your job?
At Serious Tennis Behavior, I love the opportunity to help each student achieve their individual goal(s). It is such a pleasure and rewarding challenge to take on a wide range of students with unique personalities and abilities: from a complete beginnerwho has never picked up a tennis racquetto a very seasoned playerwho has reached a plateau and looking to break through his/her glass ceiling. I thoroughly enjoy helping them understand and feel the difference between the right and the wrong way of playing tennis, all in an effort to become the best tennis players they can be. The sweetest moment and most rewarding is seeing all the hard work and patience pay off when it all comes together; seeing my students proud and happy with their results is an amazing feeling of joy and satisfaction for their achievement!
Who or what inspired you to start your business?
The desire to start Serious Tennis Behavior came from multiple years of observing many tennis students being misguided and superficially coached, consequently not achieving their tennis goals and aspirations. I noticed that there was not a meticulous and consistent standard/message being taught to students; coaches relied upon having the students figure things out based on feel and adjust on their own without focusing on effective technique. Therefore, I wanted to change the way tennis was being taught and make sure every individual I take on receives my full attention daily and is taught the same principles that the best players in the world practice in order to perform at the highest levels of the game. Also, something I put tremendous emphasis on is ensuring that all of my students understand the meaning behind the learning and the importance of learning the right way from the beginning!
