- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am a member of the International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES) where they promote and provide opportunities for continuing education and development of current and future cake decorators/sugar artists.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually started out making cakes as a hobby, which I would donate to charitable events, children's homes and church events. Individuals attending these events would always ask me for my business card. When I told them that I do not have a business, that this is a hobby and donation, they would always encourage me to make it a business and a career. So I did. We also still donate to charitable events/organizations as a way of giving back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do mainly cakes, cupcakes and cookies for various events (wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc.)
