Susan was so amazing to work with. I absolutely loved the job she did on the flowers and the sweetheart table was perfect. We planned our wedding from overseas and she was very responsive and understanding of our situation. Her prices were so reasonable and the outcome of me describing to her via email what I wanted was even better than I could have ever imagined. I was so lucky to have found her!Apr 4, 2019VerifiedWhat Really Matters, Inc.'s reply

With planning a destination wedding to Orlando, Susan was able to design and delivery beautiful bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids! All planning was done over the phone, by text and email which was quite helpful! End result- simply wonderful!Jan 14, 2017VerifiedWhat Really Matters, Inc.'s reply
Thank you, Bonnie! It was my pleasure! I'm glad your daughter's wedding was lovely!!
After a year of planning and the wedding quickly approaching, boy did we start feeling the pressure! We wanted to hire a wedding coordinator just for the "day of" but weren't quite sure our budget would allow it. We carefully thought it through and decided we really needed someone and began our search. We found Susan with What Really Matters, Inc. and it was a wonderful experience! She was so much more than a "day of coordinator!" She helped us so much with her creative ideas and caring attitude and started as soon as we contacted her! Not just on our wedding day! We are so happy we found her and can't thank her enough for making our special day so amazing!Mar 10, 2016What Really Matters, Inc.'s reply
Cindy: You and Jonathan were one of my favorite couples!! I loved your unique wedding venue and your very original decorations. It was fun helping you put it all together and I was happy to find some additional pieces of decor to help you enhance what you had already assembled. You guys are great and I hope that our paths cross again!
Susan did the centerpieces, ceremony and reception decorations, and lots of other planning odds and ends for my 120 person wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center. One of my guests said it was the most 'pinterest-worthy' wedding they'd ever been to! :-) When I began working with Susan, I had a pretty specific vision and lots of ideas for my wedding decorations, including lots of unique items like vintage globes, paper airplanes, etc. Susan "got" my vision from the beginning, and was just as excited about making it happen as I was! She went out of her way to curate the items we needed to make it a reality--including finding globe printed candle holders for a steal on ebay! She clearly loves what she does, and it shows by the extra passion, care and personal touches she puts into everything she does. The two main items Susan was in charge of were my ceremony decorations and table decorations, which all turned out AMAZING. She did our wedding arch decorations, aisle flower balls and ceremony flowers, and everything turned out absolutely beautiful. I wish I could add pictures on here, but hopefully they are in her thumbtack profile! For our reception decorations, Susan made tall, dramatic floral arrangements for a fraction of what the florist quoted me for a similar centerpiece. She also decorated every table with candles, globes and other personally curated decor to match our vintage travel theme. The overall effect made the and they made the ballroom overall look absolutely INCREDIBLE. I love all of the photos from my reception because the backdrop of the decorated ballroom looks absolutely stunning! If you're a bride like me with a specific, pinterest-inspired vision of your wedding, Susan will do more than any similarly priced professional in the biz to see it through. I can't recommend her services enough!Aug 25, 2015

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I try to have a phone call with the customer to get an idea of what services he or she needs. Then, I research price information in preparation for our first meeting. If possible, I attempt to make a prototype bouquet or centerpiece to take to our first meeting. I meet with the customer at a mutually convenient location with my laptop computer and my notes and research about costs. When I meet with the customer, I try to get every detail I can both about the customer's vision and any concerns about costs, preferences and dislikes, and get a strong idea of the vibe that the customer is trying to achieve so that I can prepare a final, detailed proposal to meet the customer's needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have loved flowers since I was a little girl in my grandmother's garden. I have been in a career that involved a great deal of planning, preparation, dealing with unexpected developments, and helping people deal with emotionally charged, very sad situations. In this line of work, I get to do a great deal of planning, preparation, dealing with some unexpected developments, while being creative and helping people enjoy what may be the happiest day of their lives.
