Blended Learning Academy

I hold a doctorate degree in exceptional student education and have over 12 years of teaching experience. I work with students with special needs as well as students who are gifted. I founded Blended Learning Academy too, so that children could come to a place to learn and ensure that their teachers meet each child at his/her point of need and truly individualize instruction to ensure each student learns to his/her fullest potential. I believe that grade levels should not define a child but rather be used as a "guide." I use a competency-based educational model, which allows for me to remediate and accelerate based on each individual student's needs. This competency-based educational model paired with precision teaching techniques allows for students to learn skills that can be generalized into the real world and creates strong problem solvers and a level of independence while gaining the needed skills at each grade level. Blended Learning Academy provides a full-time and part-time learning program as well as small group and individual tutoring. I differ from other tutoring programs and learning centers because I guarantee learning gains through weekly progress monitoring and monthly data reports to parents. I guarantee a level of transparency between teacher and parent through monthly progress reports. Know where your child is performing at any given time.
