Introduction: Glen Beaver provides golf instruction at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach. His teaching philosophy is "keep it simple and the ball will go straighter and farther with less force". His rates are extremely competitive, so much so that he is often asked why he does not charge as much as other golf teaching professionals. His response is always the same, "I started teaching because I wanted others to enjoy the game. It is important to me make learning golf accessible to those with a desire to play. For me it's about seeing my students progress not filling my pocket in the process." After years of working in the business world, my office is finally the golf course! I am outside in the fresh air doing what I love. When I am not with a student, more than likely I will be working on my own game or playing a round. Life should be fun. Golf is fun. I do my best to make every lesson fun!

Golf Lessons

Patient, detailed, and thorough. Glen analyzed my swing and gave me pointers that made sense. He then showed me how to practice and work on my new golf tips. Definitely recommend him.

Golf Lessons

Had my first lesson with Glen today and can’t recommend him enough. I’ve had 10 lessons with a previous instructor and learnt more today than the 10 combined. I’ve been stuck at around a 15 handicap but now have the tools and know the areas to focus on to bring this down.

Golf Lessons

Glenn Beaver is the consummate golf professional teacher. Is knowledge and experience became immediately apparent even in my first lesson. His instruction was geared to my level of experience. After about 5 lessons my progress has been substantial and he has made me excited again about my passion, golf. consider yourself lucky if you get Glen Beaver to become your golf coach.

Golf Lessons

Glen was the first to respond to my request for golf lessons. He is always punctual and responds immediately to text messages. His style of teaching is direct, clear and encouraging. He has a good sense of humor which is necessary in light of my lack of innate ability. A real professional.

Golf Lessons

Knowing that I had taught myself completely wrong I started to look for help. In just a few short weeks Glen was able to help me understand what I was doing wrong and help me correct it. His clear, simple, and encouraging approach will work wonders for anyone trying to have more fun on the golf course for a fraction of the price of other area 'professionals' who are more interested in keeping you coming back and drawing out lessons than working towards your goals.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer competitive pricing and packages which allow for significant discounts.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first lesson is really important to me. This is a time where I can get to know the student and determine if I am the right Teaching Professional for their needs. I ask questions which allow me to learn why you want to play golf. If you have some experience playing golf I will ask about your perceived strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, I want to know about your accomplishments, expectations for your game and any physical limitations that you might have. Every student is unique in how they learn. The more I learn and observe as you play golf, the more effective I will be in helping you hit the ball straighter and farther with less force.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have attained PGA Apprentice status. I graduated with Honors from Keiser School of Golf and have studied under Top 100 teaching professionals by the PGA of America. I have taught at Medinah Country Club, ranked 36th in the country. I am certified in Club Fitting and Club Repair, I have worked with the Special Olympics as a rules official and I am an Adult Educator with the Palm Beach County School District.
