- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our Fees for Design Services are based on the square footage, type of space, scope of work, level of detail, and timeline expectations, and are always separate from your furnishing budget or building materials.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Discovery phone call 2. Virtual Meet & Greet - 40-60 min Zoom call to introduce NPD's design process and go over project details 3. Site Visit - up to 2 hours on-site with Principal Designer and/ or Architectural Designer to determine the Scope of Work, Timeframe, and field measure. Our vetted STEP-BY-STEP process breakdown serves as a general guideline that is adjusted on a case-by-case basis. At NPD, our goal is to make the design process an enjoyable one. Experience has shown that knowledge of our standard procedures helps our clients feel comfortable for the duration of the project. While projects will vary based on scope, here is the basic process we follow; RESEARCH 1. Virtual Meet & Greet 2. Initial Visit On Site 3. Scope of Work prepared and presented 4. Signing of contract, receipt of design payment 5. Commencement of project (internal kick-off meeting) 6. Client Interviews (ongoing as needed) DEVELOPMENT 7. Trade Day: meeting with contractors, receiving bids, on-site measurements 8. Execution of floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, sourcing materials, and equipment 9. Presentation of Design including estimated budget and timeline plus a site visit to get any feedback from the presentation 10. Revisions & final approval PROCUREMENT 11. Placement of orders and delivery lead-time assessment 12. Initiation of construction & renovation 13. Procurement period continues, receipt of orders, and project site visits continue INSTALLATION 14. Furniture installation 15. Accessory completion/styling + staging 16. Punch list and deficiency resolution
