- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I visit, walk through taking notes and talking about colors-feelings-textures. I ask questions about the lifestyle of a client to get a feel for their true needs. I go back to the office and put together my ideas, often with graphics and include pricing behind items and services to guide the budget of a potential client. I have learned over the years that many people like to have a hand in their changes and this part of the consultation process allows them to look at the list and choose what they may want to do or not do. I am usually called within 48 hours of them receiving my printout/email attachment with questions and scheduling the first steps to improving their spaces. The rest is up to the client as to how to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I never-never-never stop learning. Every trip, every walk, books, media, window training, workrooms, warehouse strolls, mailings, magazines,internet, tv, and every person give me insights to design ideas.
