FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide our clients with complementary case evaluations. We charge our clients nothing until their case is resolved!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During our first meeting we will gather information regarding your case and will make a determination as to whether it is something we should pursue on your behalf, or if it is something you can handle on your own. If we pursue the case, we will set up a file and have you sign a contract for representation. We will explain how personal injury cases are handled, and what the law allows recovery for. We will then send out a letter of representation to the at-fault party, or their insurance carrier, and will request policy limits information. We will also get medical authorizations signed, which gives us authority to obtain copies of your medical records. We will then write to the hospitals and doctors to get the medical records and itemized billing statements for the treatment that has been received. We'll obtain photos of the accident location and police reports. We will also interview any witnesses. We will stay in touch with you the entire time you are being treated, until your treatment is completed and your case is ready to move forward. At some point the doctors will determine you have reached your maximum medical improvement. We will then write for your additional medical records and billing statements. We will also obtain a wage and salary verification from your employer to allow us to prove lost wages. With all of the information at hand, we will use it to determine the reasonable value of your case. Next we will send a demand letter to the insurance company, which includes details of the nature of the case, all backup documentation, and the amount of compensation we are demanding on the behalf of our client. At this point, we will negotiate with the insurance carrier in an attempt to reach a settlement agreement. If an agreement is not reached, our clients may select to pursue litigation which begins with the filing of a lawsuit.
