Well, he is a very nice man and gave us a fair price for the job that needed to be done- beyond that I don't have a whole lot to compliment on. Took far too long for such a small project.... We had a one day project that required additional, unexpected work- which is no problem, except for the fact that this job took 5 days to complete and every time we thought he was going to be done, there was additional work that needed to be completed. He was removing posts in a built in wall unit that required him to refinish some corners and turn an arch into a straight beam. The construction portion of the work looked good, but he promised a finished job.... He wasn't able to finish it because he didnt know how to retexture walls... We asked him to not even bother painting because we were going to have someone come in and retexure and paint- additional money that were going to have to spend, for what we thought was going to be a finished job. Beyond all this, He did not provide all the appropriate furniture coverings or do daily cleanup, so our entire family room was unusable for the 5 days. On the 5th day he offered to clean when he finished and we asked him to just leave. Our entire room was brand new furniture- we spent the entire day cleaning drywall mud off furniture and our hardwood floors. My thought is that he is used to working projects in Unfinished spaces or renovations, where meticulous cleaning or caution is an afterthought, and is probably under direction supervision in larger projects....he is definitely not a true independent contractor, and talks better than can actually perform. Based on our experience, unfortunately we would not hire Jeff for future projects.

Hello Tyler, I am sorry that you were unhappy with some aspects of how your project turned out. The length of time the project took was longer than expected. I arrived at your house on Thursday and completed the demolition of the space. On Friday I completed the original job but it was decided that the archway should be redesigned. I came back on Saturday with the materials and had the job framed and drywalled. On Sunday I added the two coats of mud to the drywall. Because it needed to dry I had to return on Monday to complete the job with the changes that you asked for. I do have a painting contractor who I typically work with and I offered to bring them over to finish the job but you asked to use a painter that you would hire on your own. Everything that I told you I could do when we first discussed this project, I completed. Texturing the drywall was something that I mentioned to you at the beginning that I would not be able to do. I did offer to bring in another contractor to complete the texturing once the archway was completed. I do sincerely apologize for the dirtiness and dust caused by this work. This is something that I will accept and will definitely pay more attention to in the future. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based on over 14 years experience and the going rates here in the state of Georgia. I charge by the yard....square....linear feet......unit....square foot depending on the size of the job. The bigger the job greater the discount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I interview new customers to ensure that I am able to provide a service that is in complete alignment with their objectives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 1996 to 1998. I worked as an appraiser for Cobb County Tax Assessors Office. In 1999 I obtained my Real Estate License, but in 2001 I found out I was a gifted passion Carpenter. In these last 14 years I've grown and developed exceptional skills in home improvement and it is truly my passion.
