Walter is as fast and skilled a film editor as I have ever come across. And he possesses a particular skill: a sense of wit. This informs his timing, which is useful, of course, with funny material, but I would argue that such talent is essential in serious material, as well. I call it “phrasing,” which with Walter is almost musical.
Also, on the job, Walter is a problem solver. When faced with a problem, he is dauntless in finding a solution.
