Carl was a joy to work with on renovation flip. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. He developed high quality work products for us in a short period of time. He explained complex architecture and construction terms/processes in plain language, so it was easy to understand. And lastly, he highlighted the many risks that we did not foresee. Carl uses the most update technology for his drawings and communicates safely during the pandemic. I highly recommend Carl and will use him again for future projects.

Carl is extremely knowledgeable and professional! He met with me to determine the scope of work and to gather additional details. He completed the work well before schedule and remained available should the County have required any adjustments to the plans. I will definitely hire Carl again!

Carl went above and beyond for me and is continuing to do so. He's very knowledgeable about building codes and the process needed to obtain everything.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each job priced upon scope and difficulty of work.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I initially discuss my credentials and relevant experience with the client. I then try to get a true vision of the clients design programatic needs and budget. I listen for both the articulated and unarticulated desires and needs of my clients to establish a program. Once the program has been agreed upon, I begin the design process.) My design approach is laptop interactive rather than reactive, meaning that we actually can design while sitting next to the client,if they so choose. I brought this interactive concept to Atlanta in the 1990's and became known locally as the " Affordable, Portable Architect". We conduct several interim reviews of the drawings with the client for compliance with the intent, work scope.and client budget for compliance. After the initial design phase is completed and accepted by the owner, we complete the final construction drawings for the proposed project capable of obtaining a building permit from the local jurisdiction. I try not to take myself to seriously....just my work.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

B.S Architecture. 1968 B. Architecture. 1973 M.S. Urban Developement. 1976 Complted required classes for Assoc. Fine Art 2015 Taught Design studio at college level for almost five years. Licensed since 1981, before most of my fellow designers were born...LOL I draw, paint and sculpt. I have written scholarly publications and essays.
