These machines, which are put through a rigorous 25-step process, are then distributed to low-income individual, schoolchildren, churches, schools, senior centers, and other institutions in our community. We rely on local individuals and companies to help us with this program by donating their out-of-service computers and computer-related equipment. Refurbished computers are provided to individuals, families, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. We make a positive impact in our community by providing great computers at remarkably low cost, because Relia-Tech is the nonprofit social enterprise of The Stride Center, our efforts directly help the communities where we work. About Recycling and E-Waste Though we strongly believe that reuse is the the best use of old IT equipment, sometimes an old computer just gives up the ghost. When that happens, ReliaTech's recycling team takes over. When we take your E-Waste, you can rest assured that nothing is shipped overseas, and nothing ends up in a landfill. We carefully disassemble each piece of equipment so that we can efficiently recycle the basic materials it contains. We only work with carefully vetted recycling companies to ensure that they uphold the highest standards. We will accept your E-Waste without charge. We will take anything with a cord or batteries except large appliances. We will also make a free pickup in the Atlanta area, if your donation meets our minimum quantity requirements.
