Chef Jan Hill was absolutely incredible! She was early, she came with a beautiful table set up, and was a pleasure to chat with! She came in to our kitchen with everything she needed to prepare the food and when she left the kitchen was spotless. She is such a professional! The food that she prepared for us was amazing, every single bite so perfect and full of flavor. We are already trying to figure out the next event that we have coming up where we can have her come back! I am attaching some pictures so you all can see the work she puts out!

I hired Chef Jan Hill for my wife's 40th birthday getaway. She drove out to our cabin rental in Blue Ridge, GA both nights to serve us dinner. The first night was a party of 8 and the second night was a party of 5. The dinners turned out to be the main event both nights and she did a fantastic job. The food was delicious and the presentation of each dish was a work of art. Jan was prompt and on time, and quick to respond to my messages during the planning phases when we were picking out the menu, etc. She provided her own dishes, napkins and brought several floral arrangements, and candles. The whole experience was beautiful and delicious. Everyone was blown away. I've been getting countless kudos for hiring Jan, but really all the credit goes to her for excellent work. Thank you, Jan!

Chief Jan was wonderful! I booked her to cook dinner for me and my girlfriend so I could ask her to marry me! It all worked out great! She arrived right on time and set the table beautifully. Our dinner was exceptional and the proposal went as planned. (She said yes!) We will always remember how Chef Jan made our night so special. I highly recommend her!!!

I hired Jan to cook a dinner for my husband and our two kids for my husband’s birthday. Jan was the first to respond to my inquiry on Thumbtack, and her menu proposal was spot on and her pricing was fair. She was on time, the dishes were absolutely delicious, and my husband and our entire family had a fantastic experience. I asked her for a five course menu accompanied with two bottles of wine and a separate meal for my two toddlers. I also asked her to bring place settings and table decor and it was perfect. The kitchen was spotless when she came and spotless when she left and we didn’t have to lift a finger. She did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

    The price quote is a base price only. The cost of ingredients is not determined until we finalize a menu. Base price can also differ once we finalize a menu.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to get to know my customers. What they like to eat, where their skill levels are, and what they are looking for in a cooking class.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have ten years of experience as a chef working in many restaurants, hotels, and resorts. I have also taught cooking classes for kids ranging in age from four to 16 years old. I have also taught cooking classes to adults of all skill levels.
