Don't be afraid to ask questions. Get a clear understanding of what is being done and why. Have a written contract so there are no questions about the price and what you are paying for. Have patience when getting your work done. It can be done quickly, but quick doesn't necessarily mean it's right. If you have an on-going project, stay on top of how the project is progressing.
