Highlights if you don't want to read the whole story: 1) He was accommodating and flexible with my needs 2) He handled changes in location and time and date of the shoot in such a good way (and weather bc it was freezing!) 3) I felt like I was working with my best friend 4) Great guy and great photographer 5) Would recommend him to everyone I know and hire him again I wish Thumbtack would allow me to choose work quality, professionalism, responsiveness, value and punctuality when describing what I liked about working with Matthew. When I hired Matthew, it was less than a week before the day I needed a photographer (which was also a Saturday) and when everyone else was booked, he took the job and made time for me. He worked with me SO WELL words cant even describe. I hired him for my engagement photoshoot which was also a surprise. I had no idea what I wanted and was still iffy on where I wanted the shoot to take place. I even changed locations two days before, I know, I’m the worst! He was so kind, sweet, and flexible yet professional. He immediately made me feel like I was planning something with my best friend. We planned the whole thing out: I was going to take my soon to be fiancé out to a nice breakfast, get a couples massage, and then go to a beautiful waterfall and propose where he would be waiting and blending in with the crowd. He was in contact with me the whole time before and during the trip. Well, the weather changed and it ended up snowing on the day we booked so we had to cancel everything...he handled it so well and said it would be ok, and lets try for the next day. The next day, everything went to plan and I messaged him my eta. He was at the spot 30min early to be prepared and check out the area for great shots. We showed up, I proposed, and he caught the moment in such a beautiful way. We then followed up the moment with a brief photoshoot. We loved ALL the photos! Not to mention he set up a beautiful digital library for us. I’m very impressed!

Matthew was the BEST decision that I made for my wedding day. He made sure that he was available for every important moment and captured every detail. His professionalism is second to none. If possible, I will use him as my photographer for every important milestone that I want captured. He knew exactly what I wanted and made sure that it was what I got. He is incredibly talented. Customers should know that they will receive the absolute best value per dollar you can get. i will deliver top quality for a price that is competitive with my peers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is reaching out to the customer to introduce myself. After that, a quote will be sent through thumbtack and the packages will be discussed until we reach one that the customer finds the best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked as official second photographer for Victor Villatoro and have learned much while working under him. I have also been in school with a degree in art (with a photography concentration) at Piedmont College's art school. After school I am planning to attend Maryland Institute College of Art or Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
