- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This is a great question and varies with each Designer. These fees are the projected number of hours to complete the project based on scope of work. Therefore this number is likely to vary with clients who have larger homes. In this case, a custom quote would be provided. Typically, prices start at $500 to $850 per room (small) up to $1000 to $2000 per room (large - extra large). Final estimates are given after in home audit which is $75.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discovery Call: General pleasantries, getting to know you better, introductions, information about the Interior Decorator including credentials, about their business and themselves, etc. Contact: Gathering general information such as project address, best ways to contact you, appointment availability, etc. Project: Scope of work to be complete, rooms to incorporate, what purpose each room will serve, how it will be used, people who use the space and style of those rooms, etc. Design: Your vision, specifics of design style, formality, favorable colors, colors not to be used, preference of patterns, where to source from, furniture staying/purchasing, etc. Space: Walking through the space, point things out of notice, taking pictures and measurements of the space, etc After this, a proposal is drafted along with the invoice and once that is complete, the project will start based on the information gathered during the discovery call and in home (or virtual) audit).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Visual Art with a MBA in Marketing. I'm currently taking Interior Design courses for a certificate in this particular area of expertise.
