Randi B.

Family Counseling

I have always been a little hesitant towards therapy. I did not know what to expect, would it be like TV, would it be a mismatch, would it be useless. What I want to say about therapy with Daniel, is he truly has allowed the individuals in my family to express themselves in our own way with healthy boundaries. He makes sure each person’s feelings and concerns are not just spoken, but heard. He speaks in a calm manner and always remains in control of the session, without being controlling. Daniel empowers each member of our family, being encouraging when needed. We truly have been able to accomplish the goals we set as a family: being able to communicate our true feelings, recognize the authenticity of others concerns, developing empathy for each other, holding each other accountable with boundaries, and learning to move through life‘s big challenges. Thank you so much Daniel.

Thank you Randi - Your family has clearly grown from therapy in a relatively short amount of time!

Therapy and Counseling

Daniel Gopin has been very great with my two children and getting them to open up and letting him know how they really feel. He doesn’t try to push them or make them feel uncomfortable. They love playing the therapy games he plays with them and is very in depth with their feelings. Would highly recommend!

Therapy and Counseling

Daniel was exceptional with helping bridge the gap between my adult son and myself. He was always prompt on zoom calls. The video calls made it helpful since my son and I live in different States. He helped us tremendously in a few short weeks.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer a variety of packages and discounts depending upon the needs of my clients. I recognize that therapy can be expensive, and I try to meet my clients' needs. I do not accept insurance.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, clients will call for an initial 15 minute phone consultation. This allows me to get a sense of what they're struggling with and whether I can be of assistance. The first session lasts for 45 minutes. With marriage and family counseling, at times 45 minutes doesn't suffice and in future sessions we'll meet for either 75 or 90 minutes.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my masters in clinical community counseling at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. At that time, I completed my internship at a private day school. After moving to Atlanta, I began working in private practice at Trillium Springs in Marietta. Additionally, I offered counseling services at JF&CS in Dunwoody.
