- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a sliding fee scale, determined by the client's ability to pay. I also accept BC/BS and Humana insurance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I want to hear what brings you in, and get specifics about your issue. (is there a pattern; are there outside stressors, etc.) Next I want to know what your goals for therapy are. We we wiill break down your goals into bite-sized steps. Depending on your needs, I may ask you to do homework, or consider specific causes of what you want to work on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All counselors must have 35 hours of approved continuing education every two years. I also take training in specialized areas, such as trauma, grief, anxiety, family conflicts, marriage counseling, and divorce.
