Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I don't use psycho-babble. I am direct, but listen more than I talk, because our time together is to work on the issues on your mind. I have extensive experience working with creative and business people. I also have worked with truck drivers, athletes, full-time moms, ministers and rabbis. My clients range in age from ages 23-90. I continue to be impressed and amazed about the complexity of people's lives. Your journey is unique from everyone else. Though there are experiences and events that many people share, there is no "normal", and each life-story is special.

After 2 plus overwhelming years of personal losses (husband's death, job, house, etc.), I felt I needed to talk to someone. Having only recently moved to Atlanta, I didn’t know who to turn to. Peg Griffith was recommended to me by my church. I have found Peg to be very personable and down-to-earth. Our sessions are never rushed, and I feel I can talk to her about anything, and she is always respectful and non–judgmental. I appreciate her insight and feedback. I would recommend Peg to anyone seeking a personal/family counselor.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I work on a sliding fee scale, determined by the client's ability to pay. I also accept BC/BS and Humana insurance.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First I want to hear what brings you in, and get specifics about your issue. (is there a pattern; are there outside stressors, etc.) Next I want to know what your goals for therapy are. We we wiill break down your goals into bite-sized steps. Depending on your needs, I may ask you to do homework, or consider specific causes of what you want to work on.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All counselors must have 35 hours of approved continuing education every two years. I also take training in specialized areas, such as trauma, grief, anxiety, family conflicts, marriage counseling, and divorce.
