For our storage customers, we provide an online accounting and inventory of everything a customer may have in storage. I would definitely recommend the MyPorter service. My movers Nick and Devin did an amazing job helping me with what I consider one of the most painful processes, moving! They brought all the supplies needed and more. I was surprised at first when I saw they only had a van to help me with all of my stuff but they were able to neatly and safely pack all of my boxes and furniture and then transport it to the next location. My favorite part about using the MyPorter service outside of their skilled and professional movers is that they pack, record, transport, and store the other items I wasn’t taking to my new home. Excited to use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone!
Had 2 porters Antjuan & Leo, did a good job! No damages to my items and they ensured to wrap and secure everything as well as taking precautions on how they moved my bedroom set and TV. Good price as well for a little over 2 hours!

We were scheduled for 10am - Noon on a Saturday. We received a notice that our time was moved to 9am - 11am - no big deal, we were ready. Our movers called a bit before 9am and said they were leaving the warehouse and would be at our house in 20-25 mins. They didn't show up till 10:20. That was a little annoying as we had the freight elevator held from 10am - Noon but can't be helped. Our movers were great, professional and courteous. They got straight to work and moved all our stuff (which was more than originally quoted) quickly. I would recommend hiring one more person than you think you'll need because you always have more than you think :) We were able to use the freight elevator longer than expected and everything was moved with no damage.

My Porter movers were professional, detail oriented with a great work ethic. They sent a four man crew which worked well together to get my 4 bedroom house broken down and moved into a storage unit. Will definitely use them in the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is very transparent.
For moving customers, we charge $30/hour/porter and $25/hour for the use of our box trucks. For small moves only needing a cargo van, we charge a flat $50 fee for the use of the van.
If you prefer to rent your own vehicle to save some funds, we're fine with that as long as you drive the vehicle! Moving supplies (blankets, bubble wrap, and moving equipment) are included in the monthly rate.
For customers needing storage, we charge by the square foot - starting at 25 sq/ft and moving up to 300 sq/ft. Current prices can be found on MyPorter.com. Pickup is free and partial deliveries of your items start at $20.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You schedule online or by phone and an agent will work to understand what exactly we'll be moving or storing and other variables that we need to give a good estimate on move time. Things like time of move (e.g., rush hour extends drive time) and type of domicile (house / condo / apartment) can add or reduce time so we want to understand those things in order to give a good estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained engineer and have worked overseas dealing with the frustration of managing my stuff in basements, attics, and self-storage units. I developed this concept as a way to make moving and storage painless and convenient.
