Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work is personal to each client. I make it a point to get to know my clients long before I click the shutter. The more I know you, the better I'm going to be able to tell your story. One of my favorite quotes describes my business motto - "It's one thing to take a picture of what someone looks like. It's another to take a picture of who they are."

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an active member of the Professional Photographers Association - the largest professional association for photographer in America. They focus on best business practices, continuing education, and the support of of industry professionals.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you connect with your photographer. It would be unrealistic to say don't take price into consideration - obviously you should stick with your budget - but choose a photographer first based on their style and secondly based on your connection. Do they set up a consultation? Do they make you feel comfortable about their process? Do you trust them? If you answer no to those questions, you may want to keep looking.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The amount of time and effort that goes into the final product. I have years of training behind me and ahead of me and even though I may only spend 6 hours at a wedding, I spend 15+ hours on that same wedding outside of actually shooting it. I'm a professional, just like a lawyer or contractor.
