Akera was amazing! I was initially skeptical about doing Zoom sessions because I typically learn better in person, but she reassured me during our free consultation call and made me feel comfortable moving forward. The session was informative, and I learned a lot. Whenever I had questions about specific signs, she was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to ensure I understood everything. I decided to learn ASL to help me communicate with my patients who are part of the deaf community. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we schedule a free consultation with clients to get to know each individual.
We also strategize how we achieve the goals of each client. Our first session, we spend a few minutes with general introduction and get right into learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
American Sign Language (ASL) has always been one of my passions. I started learning 9 years old.
I started learning ASL by interpreting music. My passion grew into pursuing a career in ASL Interpreting.
