FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to allow the customer to tell me about the project. Afterwards, I request to read it and give constructive feedback. If the customer chooses me to edit, we work closely to come to terms on the edit. I like to provide batches of questions as I go along in an effort to keep the customer abreast of my edits and to prevent the customer being overwhelmed with a ton of questions to answer or surprised regarding my changes at the end of the editing process.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into providing editing/proofreading consulting as a result of my desire to pursue entrepreneurship. And I started doing this this because I was told by a client years ago that I was good at it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually edit and proofread written material for all kinds of clients. I have even written various proposal and appeal letters.
