Rover Dogs of Aiken is the leading online service connecting pet owners with over 40,000 loving sitters With our five-star-rated sitters, 24/7 customer support, and daily photo updates, pet parents can travel or drop their furry friends off for daycare or an overnight, with peace of mind. Rover handles insurance, payment, and customer support. As a small business owner, I follow the benchmark for Rover which allowed me to rank at the top of petsitters within the CSRA. My home is located in the Fox Run Community, down the road from Citizens Park, we are a family of 3 who will go the extra mile to ensure your pet has a safe and comfortable stay. My location is ideal as well as very casual. Pets are welcomed on our coaches and chairs. With your permission, your animal can come and go as they please. They have plenty of room to run and play in the fenced-in backyard as well as a separate room where all animals can eat together.

Pets are my passion, and I never see caring for them as work. My services include walking, sitting, and bathing, and check-ins. For example, a routine check-in includes feeding, taking them out to the bathroom, and light clean up. I look forward to working with you.

We service dogs only. Jeska's Go Dog Sitting provides walking services for dogs of any size and dog sitting for a short period of time. Play time will of course be incorporated in the routine. The happiness of your dog is key! Cost of this service depends on the size of the dog and the duration of the stay or sitting for the dog. This includes waking and playing with love, depending on the dog's size. For overnight dog sitting, it starts at $30 a night. For more information, please contact me.

I am 27 years old. My name is Allison Reed. All my life, I've lived in a home with multiple large-breed dogs. I have been walking dogs (large breed) my whole life for others as well as my own dogs. I currently have three large breeds living at my house (an American bulldog, labrador/pit bull mix, and labrador/rottweiler mix. I love dogs and understand how much joy a simple walk can give these animals. They live for it, and I would love to give them that little bit of joy as a gift for their unconditional love that they have shown me throughout my 27 years alive. I walked dogs for people on a few different occasions when I was living in Athens, GA, and finishing my education at the university.

I truly live to help others in any way I can. I find joy in serving others, I am a care giver by Nature.

I am a military-trained dog trainer with over 14 years' experience. I take the time to understand not only what the owner's intentions are, but also the dog itself.

I give your dog a walk twice a day, make sure they have plenty of playtime and get the attention they need when you can't.

I train dogs using positive reinforcement methods that will get your dog to focus and want to obey commands. I currently offer puppy kindergarten, basic obedience lessons, and advanced obedience lessons. Your dog will enjoy following cues such as sit, stay, down, sit-stay, down-stay, come, leave it, loose leash walking, and much more. Your dog will have the ability and tools to follow your lead in different situations and different settings. For convenience, I travel to you or you may come to me, and meeting in a mutual agreed upon location is an option as well.

I love animals. I love getting to spend time with animals, mostly dogs, but I'm good with cats too. Animals give my life purpose and make my life fun. Animals are the best things because they will love you no matter what.

You tell me what you need, and I provide it. I offer a dog walking service. If you are out of town, I will be able to help as well. Just tell me what you need.

I can pet sit cats and dogs usually in the morning and evening. Also, I can do dog walking and plant watering, if needed.

Hi, I love animals and I love taking them out to get some fresh air, but I really only work with dogs. I love to let them run around and feel free. I like playing fetch with them. I like to see them happy and I'll show them that someone loves them.

Kayla can take care of your dog's needs! I have experience in working with dogs and cats. I'd love to walk, play, and snuggle your furkids when you can't. I have plenty of patience, strength as well as calm and loving energy to handle any situation with your pet. I will be furthering my skills and love for animals into becoming a licensed canine trainer. I have worked in animal day care, boarding facilities and businesses. I have seen and experienced a lot about dogs and cats. I can perform duties, if needed, such as giving medicine, feeding and planning treats as well as doing specific requests. Whatever your rules are, I'll follow, except I will not apply physical force as discipline. I do not hit animals whatsoever and neither should anyone else. There are positive ways of correcting your pet, and that's what I have practiced in. I love all sizes, shapes, colors, and personalities! I am very trustworthy and reliable with my own transportation. My job is to take care of your pet the way you want and with sincere love. I know cleaning comes with any type of pet care too, so it's not a problem.

I love dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a passion for animals and would keep them all if I could.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a dog walker do?

We all know our dogs love going on long, adventure-filled walks, but jobs and family and commuting can make it difficult to give them the leash time they deserve. You can hire a professional dog walker to make sure your furry friend gets adequate exercise and outdoor time each day. A professional dog walker may be an individual contractor or work for a dedicated dog-walking company. In either case, you want to make sure the pro has the appropriate insurance in case of an emergency. Some people opt to give the dog walker a key to their house; others to have them pick up the dog from the yard. Dog walking can happen as often as multiple times per day, or just a few times a month as needed. Here are some questions to ask when you are interviewing a new dog walker:

    • Will you or someone else be walking my dog?
    • Do you have a backup plan if you can’t make it for a scheduled walk?
    • Will you walk my dog by itself, or do you walk several dogs at once?
    • What are your different walk routes?
    • When will you pick up and drop off?
    • How will we communicate?
    • Do I have to commit to a schedule or are you flexible?
    • What’s your cancellation policy?
    • What’s your response plan if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
    • How and how often do I pay you?
    • Do you offer package pricing if I buy multiple dog walks up front?

How much do dog walkers charge?

The cost of dog walking depends on several factors including length and frequency of dog walks, the number of dogs on the walk, distance to your house, and any additional services you request. The national average cost range for a dog walk is $10-$20, but that price will vary based on where you live in the country and the regional cost of living and doing business.

The longer the dog walk, the higher your costs will be. Dog walkers offer a range of walk lengths, from 15-minute potty breaks to long hikes of 120 minutes or more. For example, a dog walker may charge $15 for a 15-minute walk and $35 for a 35-minute walk. Requesting that your dog be the only animal on the walk will typically mean a higher cost than if you permit your dog to be walked in a pack of dogs. You may be able to get a discounted rate if you have more than one dog to be walked. For example, a professional dog walker may charge $28 for one dog or $33 for two dogs on a 60-minute walk. If you need additional help — like feeding the dogs or giving them medication — dog walkers may be able to provide this service at an additional fee. Dog walkers may charge higher rates for walking your dogs on holidays.
