FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! We are required by the state to attend an annual four hour continuing education classes to maintain our Master Plumber certification. We attend these classes and also attend elective continuing education classes beyond the state minimum requirements. You can never have too much knowledge! We study code, watch market trends and test and watch new technology for dependability before we offer it to our customers. Some technology and products are so very new that we do not recommend it until it has a proven track record. No matter how amazing a product can test in a laboratory, we want to be sure that it's going to hold up before we install it in you lavatory!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Toilet repair and replacement. Faucet, sink and fixture repairs. Water heaters, repaired and replaced. Sewer and Drain Services. Water line repairs. Plumbing system replacements.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In order to become a professional plumber, you must be licensed by each state that you work in. The road to become a Master Plumber takes five years and applicants must provide signed affidavits of competency from other licensed plumbers and pass two state exams. In order to operate a plumbing business, one must be a state licensed Master Plumber. It is illegal for a general contractor to perform plumbing work without a Master Plumber's license. It is illegal for a handy man to perform plumbing work without a Master Plumber's license. There is no such thing as a "handy man" license to do plumbing work. Your homeowner's insurance may not cover you if you use an unlicensed contractor.
